“Beautiful B&B in gorgeous setting”
Our experience at the Morgan Samuels Inn was excellent. Hosts, John and Julie, and staff member, Suzanne, were extremely hospitable and helpful. From the decor to the gourmet breakfasts in romantic surroundings, we were very pleased that we chose to stay at this b&b.
“Do Nothing”, this became a standing joke between us and Julie and John Sullivan, the inn keepers. They were the friendliest and most accommodating couple we have met at any B&B. We had read reviews and expected a nice place. What we found was an 1810 cobblestone house that, when converted into the inn, lost none of its charm. Inside you will find many areas to “Do Nothing”. You can continue at the same pace outside where the beautiful grounds afford multiple areas of privacy to relax.
The food is outstanding and John takes special care to find the best foods. Breakfast is a treat, not to be missed; the best way to describe it is a buffet for two. The fruit tray shows the care taken, as all the items are the best you can find. We ate dinner all three nights we were there. I would not recommend having dinner that many nights without having John cut back on the quantity at least one night. The dinners are so good and plentiful, seven courses, that to indulge three times in a row is almost too much.
“Elegant and Welcoming”
My husband and I have stayed at many B&Bs around the country and after being a guest at the Morgan Samuels, it is now our very favorite. The innkeepers, John and Julie Sullivan, were most gracious hosts. Our room at the inn was lovely, cozy, and very comfortable. And the gourmet dining experience (dinner and breakfast) was exceptional. Our visit to the Finger Lakes area was made more memorable by our stay at the Morgan Samuels. Thank you John and Julie.
My husband, sister, and I recently spent two wonderful nights with Innkeepers John and Julie Sullivan at the Outstanding Morgan Samuels Inn in Canandaigua, New York.
We were delighted with the rooms, service, cleanliness, and particularly the attention to every detail by the Innkeepers and staff. The Innkeepers are very friendly and fun loving. The setting and grounds are very beautiful. We enjoyed two fabulous dinners and breakfasts. The kitchen is outstanding.
Susan, the new chef prepared special meals for us in accordance with our dietary preferences. The six courses were all delicious, and perfectly prepared. Particularly outstanding were the imaginative appetizers, soups, and salads, along with great main course sauces and seasonings. A richly smooth chocolate cake, and delicious home made apple pie were wonderful deserts. Bring your own bottle of wine, which the staff serves, to complete the great dining experience.
Breakfast included a fabulous fruit tray with 24 varieties of fresh fruit as well as delicious yogurt, several hot options, muffins, and fresh, local breads.
